The Coastal Series is an ongoing body of work rooted in years of studying the Gulf Coast landscapes of South Texas. Through painting, drawing, and on-site observation, the series explores the fragile ecology of the Laguna Madre and surrounding coastal habitats.

In the summer of 2024, I continued this work during artist residency within the Laguna Madre, where I lived and worked directly in the landscape. The experience deepened my relationship to the coast and continues to inform paintings developed over the past two years, reflecting both the ecological richness and quiet vulnerability of this unique environment.
